Our Fine and Performing Arts Department is committed to fostering creativity, self-expression, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Through a rich and varied curriculum, students explore both the technical foundations and the emotional power of music and visual art.The Roslyn High School Music Program offers a wide range of opportunities for students to explore and grow as musicians, performers, and creators. From vocal ensembles like Jazz Choir, Chamber Singers, and Mixed Chorus to instrumental groups such as Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Project, Chamber Orchestra, and String Orchestra, students can experience a variety of styles and performance settings.

Our vibrant Theater program adds another creative dimension, while academic courses like Music Theory I and AP Music Theory provide a strong foundation in musical understanding and composition. Whether performing on stage or studying the structure of music, students are encouraged to develop their talents and deepen their appreciation for the art.

The Roslyn High School Art Program offers a dynamic and diverse selection of courses designed to inspire creativity and foster artistic growth. Students can explore foundational skills in Studio Art and Intermediate Studio Art, or dive into specialized areas such as Sculpture and Ceramics, Photography, Mixed Media, and Fashion in Art. Digital tools come to life through courses like Digital Art and Animation with Procreate, Adobe Illustrator for Content Creators, and multiple levels of Digital Photography. For those pursuing advanced study, portfolio courses in 2-D and 3-D Design, including AP options, help students build strong bodies of work for college and beyond. AP Art History offers a deeper look into global artistic traditions, enriching students’ understanding of art across time and cultures. Whether working with clay, pixels, paint, or fabric, students have the opportunity to develop their unique artistic voice.
