NYS Learner Permit
Students who are 15 years or older* can take the Learner Permit Test given by New York State's Department of Motor Vehicles at Roslyn High School over the Internet. The test is offered in Spanish or English and the results are immediate. Students who pass the online test will get a receipt and other forms which they can take to any DMV office upon their 16th birthday and apply for a permit. Students who do not pass the test can re-take the test as many times as is necessary.
* Students must wait until they are within 3 months of their 16th birthday before signing up to take the test.
Taking the Test at Roslyn High School
Students must pre-register in person with Mrs. Baccarella in the Attendance Office.
Students must bring proof of identification on the day of the test. The
only acceptable forms of identification are:
o School photo ID
Students should report to the Attendance Office at 2:45 on the day of the test.
